Send Push

NEW DELHI, April 13 Hero MotoCorp has launched the updated 2025 Hero Passion Plus in India, bringing the commuter favorite in line with the latest OBD-2B emission norms. Priced at ₹81,651 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the new model sees a price bump of around ₹1,750 over its predecessor but retains the same tried-and-tested mechanicals and styling.

Engine & Performance: Now Cleaner, Not Different

Powering the 2025 Passion Plus is the familiar 97.2cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, now tuned to meet stricter OBD-2B emission compliance. The engine continues to deliver:

  • Power: 7.9 bhp @ 8,000 rpm

  • Torque: 8.05 Nm @ 6,000 rpm

  • Transmission: 4-speed manual gearbox

The refinement and fuel efficiency this engine is known for remain intact, making it a practical choice for daily commuting.

Hardware & Ride Setup

The Passion Plus maintains its commuter-friendly hardware:

  • Front Suspension: Telescopic forks

  • Rear Suspension: Twin shock absorbers

  • Brakes: 130 mm drum brakes front and rear

  • Wheels: 18-inch alloy wheels

  • Safety: Integrated Braking System (IBS) standard

This setup is optimized for comfort, stability, and low-maintenance urban use.

Features: Functionality First

While the visual design remains largely unchanged, the Passion Plus packs several handy features for its price:

  • i3S (Idle Start-Stop System) for better fuel efficiency

  • Semi-digital instrument console

  • Side-stand engine cut-off indicator

  • USB mobile charging port

  • Electric start

Design and Color Options

Hero hasn’t made any major design updates. The 2025 Passion Plus continues with its familiar bodywork and graphics, but now comes in two dual-tone colour options:

  • Black Nexus Blue

  • Black Heavy Grey

These replace the broader four-color palette available in the previous version.

Rivals and Market Positioning

The Hero Passion Plus continues to compete in the commuter 100cc–110cc segment, going up against:

  • Honda Shine 100

  • TVS Star City Plus

  • Hero HF Deluxe

It remains a strong contender thanks to its trusted engine, reliability, and extensive service network, now made greener with OBD-2B compliance.
