Skoda Auto India is gearing up for the much-anticipated launch of the second-generation Skoda Kodiaq on April 17, 2025. Set to become the flagship SUV in the brand’s Indian portfolio, the new Kodiaq will arrive as a Completely Built-Up (CBU) unit, and is expected to be priced between ₹45 lakh to ₹50 lakh (ex-showroom).

Bold New Design with “Modern Solid” Language

The 2025 Skoda Kodiaq embodies the brand’s Modern Solid design philosophy. Key visual upgrades include:

  • Larger butterfly grille

  • Sharp, angular LED headlamps

  • New fog lights and redesigned rear lights

  • Striking LED light strip across the tailgate

  • New color options like Bronx Gold Metallic and Steel Grey, exclusive to Sportline and L&K variants

The SUV also features redesigned 17- to 20-inch alloy wheels, giving it a more dynamic stance.

Inside the cabin, the 2025 Kodiaq boasts a suite of luxurious upgrades:

  • 10.25-inch fully digital driver’s display

The new Kodiaq is longer and wider than the previous model:

  • Width: 1,864 mm

  • Height: 1,659 mm

  • Wheelbase: 2,971 mm (unchanged)

Expect generous cabin space and flexible seating options for five or seven passengers, depending on the variant.

Engine, Powertrain & Performance

The 2025 Kodiaq will be powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, delivering:

  • 201 bhp (up by 14 bhp)

  • 320 Nm torque

  • 7-speed DSG automatic transmission

  • All-wheel drive (4×4) standard across variants

Skoda claims the new engine offers a fuel efficiency of 14.86 kmpl, a respectable figure for a premium SUV of this class.

The official prices and variant-wise feature lists will be revealed on April 17. The Kodiaq will rival other premium SUVs like the Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian, and Hyundai Tucson, while aiming to appeal to luxury buyers seeking a tech-rich, full-size SUV experience.
