The monsoon season remains active in Rajasthan, leading to significant rainfall across various regions. According to the Jaipur center of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), several areas experienced light to moderate rain, with some regions receiving heavy downpours over the past 24 hours, as of Monday morning.
The highest recorded rainfall was 132 millimeters in Sikray, Dausa. The IMD reported that Rajgarh in Alwar received 13 centimeters, Todabhim in Karauli saw 12 centimeters, while Mahwa in Dausa recorded 10 centimeters. Additionally, Sallopat in Banswara and Viratnagar in Jaipur each received 7 centimeters, and Sagwara in Dungarpur along with Gangapur in Sawai Madhopur recorded 4 centimeters of rain.
Moreover, several districts, including Churu, Bikaner, Sri Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Pali, Bharatpur, and Chittorgarh, reported rainfall exceeding one centimeter during this period.
The weather department forecasts that moderate to heavy rainfall is expected in parts of Bharatpur, Jaipur division, and the Shekhawati region over the next one to two days. However, a decrease in rainfall activity is anticipated in some areas of southern Rajasthan, with potential rain in parts of the Bikaner division as well.
