Ajmer: Beawar district administration Wednesday claimed that air quality in Balad Road area, where chemical gas leak at a factory claimed three lives Monday night, is satisfactory.
State Pollution Control Board Wednesday took samples of air from different regions and found them satisfactory.
District collector Mahendra Khadgawat said that from the main gate of Sunil Trading Company on Balad Road, where the chemical gas leaked, to the outside of the main market of Beawar city, air quality tests were completed after taking samples from different places. After the analysis, it was found that the nitrogen dioxide gas level is 54.7 and the sulphur dioxide level is 12.4, which is according to the parameter, he said. "With these results, there should be no fear among people, and the administration is keeping watch on air quality." Khadgawat said it was found that the factory where the gas leaked was operating illegally, though the owner, Sunil Singhal, died in this accident. tnn
