In Rajasthan, persistent heavy rainfall has severely affected daily life across several districts. The meteorological department has issued a warning for heavy rain in 16 districts today, prompting the authorities to declare school closures in 19 districts.
School Closures Due to Rain Alerts
In response to the rain alerts, local administrations have decided to close both government and private schools, as well as anganwadi centers, in the affected districts. This closure is specifically for students and children attending these centers, while all teachers and staff are expected to report for duty as usual.

According to the official announcement, schools in districts such as Sikar, Karauli, Kota, Khairthal-Tijara, Dungarpur, Chittorgarh, Ajmer, Kotputli-Bahrod, Sirohi, Bundi, Bhilwara, Udaipur, and Sawai Madhopur will remain closed on August 25.

The following districts will observe school holidays: Tonk (August 25-27), Alwar, Jaipur, Dausa, and Nagaur (August 25-26), along with Didiwana-Kuchaman (August 25-26).
Heavy Rain Alert Issued
The meteorological department has issued a heavy rain alert for 16 districts today. An orange alert for extremely heavy rainfall has been issued for Udaipur, Rajsamand, and Sirohi, while a yellow alert has been issued for Alwar, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Dungarpur, Jhunjhunu, Pratapgarh, Churu, Hanumangarh, Jalore, Jodhpur, Nagaur, Pali, and Sri Ganganagar.
