Russia-Ukraine conflict: Moscow captures 2 villages in Donetsk region; advances towards Ukrainian logistics base

Russia on Saturday announced that its forces had captured two villages in Ukraine ’s Donetsk region, increasing military pressure as international efforts to end the conflict continue.

Moscow's defence ministry said on Telegram that its troops had taken control of Sredneye and Kleban-Byk. The capture of Kleban-Byk advances Russian forces closer to the town of Kostyantynivka — a key point on the route to Kramatorsk, which serves as a major Ukrainian logistics hub.
