MSNBC anchor reveals what she really thinks of Kamala Harris vs Donald Trump after interview

Send Push
Vice President Kamala Harris was described as "perfectly reasonable" during her interview with MSNBC anchor Stephanie Ruhle after the rare discussion. While speaking with Chris Hayes on All In, Ruhle compared Harris’ “normal” responses on topics such as the economy, immigration, and reproductive rights with those of her Republican counterpart.

Ruhle observed that Donald Trump has often received credit over the past nine years for being outspoken and unfiltered. However, she pointed out that much of what he says "either doesn’t make sense or isn’t true," whereas Harris appeared "perfectly reasonable" in her responses.

Ruhle went on to say that Harris, as a politician, avoids giving direct answers to certain questions. In the interview, Harris confirmed that taxes would not be increased for Americans earning less than $400,000 per year. She also reiterated plans to introduce a $6,000 tax credit for parents of newborns, offer $25,000 in down-payment assistance for first-time homebuyers, and implement a $50,000 tax credit for small businesses.

Ruhle agreed with Hayes that Harris has shown herself to be "deft" and "adept" in interviews since becoming the Democratic nominee. Ruhle highlighted the importance of Harris engaging in more interviews, noting that many people might not be aware of her policies.

She mentioned that rather than referring to an 82-page policy book, people might have learned, “Oh, taxes only increase if you earn over $400,000,” from watching the interview. Ruhle added that although viewers might not have liked all of Harris' answers, she provided a response to every single question during their 25-minute conversation.
