Rep Fendrice Driskell said she's disgusted by Langevin's commentary on Indians which are ignorant, wrong and anti-American.
There's no place for this kind of hate in Florida.

As Governor and now as U.S. Senator, I’ve been proud to stand with our state’s incredible Indian American community, who are proud Americans and value the ideas that make our country great.https://t.co/lQHxhCTvIG
As a representative of a vibrant and diverse district with a significant Indian-American population, I’m disgusted by Palm Bay City Councilman Chandler Langevin's commentary. Florida needs leaders who will stand up for everyone, not divide us with prejudice and hate. pic.twitter.com/Hmv14hxN93

"Langevin has a history of bigoted attacks against people that don't look like him. He has shown again and again that he is unfit to be a leader in his community. I hope the good people of Palm Bay reject him and his ignorance, and that he can take the time to educate himself about his neighbors and let go of this hate," Driskell said.
'Enrich India and Indians'
Langevin, a councilman, said there is not a single Indian in the US who cares about the United States. They only care about enriching India and Indians, exploiting the US financially. Langevin deleted the controversial post though he said he was neither taking back his words nor apologizing. He said he did not target Indian-Americans; his attack was on illegals or visa holders.
Will Chandler Langevin be removed from his council post because of his anti-India comment?
The council voted to remove him because of his anti-Indian rhetoric and sent a letter to Governor Ron DeSantis. DeSantis has not commented on the issue but the Guv, himself, is a staunch hater of the H-1B visa program and calls it a scam.
Did thousands of Indian-Americans show up at the council meeting?
The Palm Bay Council meeting made headlines for the huge gathering it had demanding Langevin's removal. Langevin, however, claimed in an X post that "it was more like 500 from all around Florida".
It was more like 500 from all around Florida.

"That said, the community of Americans with Indian Heritage were taken for a goat rope by the leftists and Republican politicians fell for it. That is why I reached out to the leaders of this community and will be having some important dialogue hopefully next week. The left is the threat. Everything else is a symptom of their chaos to include illegal immigration and H1-b visas," Langevin wrote.
