In the latest update in the Diddy sex trafficking and racketeering case, the government and Diddy's lawyers filed a joint response to the court in which Diddy's lawyers said Diddy will seek a trial date in April or May 2025. "Mr Combs continues to assert his right to a speedy trial and intends to request a trial date in April or May, 2025," Diddy's lawyers said adding that Diddy will also file a motion for a hearing and other remedies related to unauthorized and prejudicial leaks of grand jury information.

The government said the discovery in the case has been voluminous, totaling several terabytes of electronic materials including cellphones, laptops, tablets and cloud accounts.

The government said it has been in close coordination with the defense.

Diddy's lawyers said they ask the court to require the government to immediately produce information like copies of Comb's electronic devices that were seized six months ago.

The timely production of these material is critical to Diddy's ability to prepare his defense, Diddy's lawyers said.

Since these devices belong to Diddy, their production should not be delayed by the government's initial review for responsiveness and privilege.

The defense said the government indicated that they will be able to produce these devices in the next 30 days.

Diddy continues to assert his right to a speedy trial, his lawyers said.
