NEW DELHI: RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Saturday tore into the Nitish Kumar–led NDA government in Bihar, alleging a complete collapse of law and order following a string of murders and violent incidents across the state. In a sharp post on X, he wrote on X: "BJP has turned Bihar into Taliban!"

He added: "In Gaya, a doctor was shot. In Patna, open firing between two groups. In Patna, a woman was shot. In Rohtas, a businessman was murdered. Modi-Nitish BJP government helpless. DK tax-protected thugs and criminals run rampant!"

His outburst follows a series of chilling incidents across the state. In a brazen attack, five armed men stormed Patna's Paras Hospital and shot dead a murder convict inside the ICU.
Few days earlier, a man named Vikram Jha was gunned down in Patna's Ramkrishna Nagar area. Earlier this month, prominent businessman Gopal Khemka was killed in a similar daylight shooting, followed by the murder of a sand trader outside his home in the city.

Tejashwi alleged that the Modi-Nitish BJP government is helpless as criminals operate with impunity. "Tax-protected thugs and criminals run rampant," he wrote, blaming the ruling alliance for a complete collapse of law and order.

The violence has triggered a fresh political face-off, with the opposition RJD-Congress alliance slamming the government and the NDA hitting back by accusing them of reviving the spectre of "Jungle Raj."
