An Urdu teacher of a government senior secondary school in Rajasthan 's Beawar district was suspended on Wednesday for offering namaz on the school premises. The action against Asma Parvez , 43, followed a departmental probe .
Another teacher, Shagufta , 45, is also facing action. "We have sent a report to the education minister regarding the second teacher allegedly inciting students to offer namaz in school," a senior official at the education department said on Friday.
When contacted, Asma refused to comment, but her elder brother, Zakir, said she had been asked to report daily at the office of chief block education officer at Jwaja in Ajmer. Her husband said the charges were baseless.
