NEW DELHI: Border Security Force ( BSF ) troops on Monday shot and injured a Pakistani intruder , reports news agency PTI.
The incident took place along the International Border in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district.
The intruder was arrested in an injured condition after BSF troops opened fire upon spotting a group of people attempting to sneak into Indian territory along the border.
The group was noticed by alert BSF personnel between Chandwan and Kothey border outposts in the Hiranagar sector around 4 pm and was challenged to stop, officials said.
They said the intruders ignored repeated warnings, prompting BSF personnel at the forward posts to open fire, injuring one of them in the leg.
