Taking cognizance of TOI's report on the state hurriedly withdrawing a tender and over 100 govt resolutions (GRs) issued after the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) was enforced, the ECI sought a report on the issue Thursday from Maharashtra's chief electoral officer S Chockalingam, Priyanka Kakodkar.
Sources said eight tenders and 103 GRs issued after the model code came into force, were withdrawn on Wednesday evening. The tenders are mainly related to the tourism department.
