Send Push
NXT is currently filled with talented young wrestlers, both men and women, each striving to earn fan recognition and achieve their career-defining moments. While the entire NXT roster is filled with skilled performers, a few stand out above the rest. Among them, Ridge Holland has recently garnered high praise from none other than former ECW veteran and WWE Hall of Famer , Bully Ray . On a recent episode of his Busted Open podcast, Bully Ray not only praised Holland but also compared him to the "Beast Incarnate" Brock Lesnar.

Bully Ray praises the NXT Superstar Ridge Holland

On a recent episode of Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray spoke highly of Ridge Holland, drawing comparisons between Holland and Brock Lesnar. Reflecting on his recent appearance on NXT Halloween Havoc , where he took part in a segment with Ethan Page and Ridge Holland, Bully Ray explained that from the first time he saw Holland, he was reminded of a young Brock Lesnar due to Holland's size and muscular build.

Bully Ray said, "I remember the first time I saw Ridge Holland and I was like, 'Woah, this guy reminds me of a future Brock Lesnar. How big he is, how muscular he was," said Dreamer. "It was the same show I saw Pete Dunne before both guys got hired. I was like, 'These two guys have it." (Via Busted Open Radio/ Wrestling Inc)

The Hall of Famer also addressed the incident involving Big E, where a botched move by Holland resulted in a severe injury to the former WWE Champion. He acknowledged that such mistakes often lead to wrestlers losing their positions, but he’s glad WWE chose to keep Holland.

"I'm very glad WWE did not give up on Ridge Holland because you're seeing what you get out of him. You know, when he first started, there was an injury, I think, with Johnny Gargano, then the whole Big E stuff — that usually gets you heat and terminated. They still see something in him." He added that moving Holland back to NXT was the right call, as the Englishman is now proving himself to be a "main event player," something Bully Ray believes should have happened sooner.
