Joshua Roy’s stint with the Montreal Canadiens came to a sour ending. The Canadiens wanted so much from the 21-year-old Canadian ice hockey forward. But they got so very little. During Joshua Roy’s month-long NHL stay, he recorded 2 goals, 0 assists, and 2 points in a total of 12 NHL games - that is for the 2024-2025 NHL season. Taking Joshua Roy’s total to 6 goals, 5 assists, and 11 points in a total of 35 career NHL games.

Apparently, the Montreal Canadiens had shown interest in Joshua Roy back in the 2023-2024 NHL season as well

Back then, Roy recorded 4 goals, 5 assists, and 9 points in 23 NHL games played for the Montreal Canadiens. An X user wrote, “It’s too bad. He came to camp with the mindset that his spot was secured because of the time spent with the team last year. Reality hit hard and despite having a solid season in the A, it’s clear he can’t keep up in the NHL. Still time but he needs to put in the work needed!”

One X user wrote, “so sad :( he was so good to us”

Another fan wrote, “Good morning, Habs playoffs hockey.”

A third fan said it “was about time.”

At the Laval Rocket of the American Hockey League, Joshua Roy has accumulated a total of 33 goals, 34 assists, and 67 points over 87 career AHL games! Roy really enjoys playing for the AHL! No wonder an X user wrote, “Great for the Rocket”. The Laval Rocket of the AHL have their own Calder Cup playoffs. The Laval Rocket have clinched the Calder Cup playoffs for the third time in the AHL's history.
