New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave was injured trying to catch a high pass from Derek Carr . Later, on social media, former Saints receiver Michael Thomas went off on Carr's quarterbacking, saying his pass was what sent Olave into the concussion he ended up with. Olave was carted off the field. After the loss of the Saints by the Carolina Panthers 23-22, Carr was asked about his former teammate's rant. He replied in about as elegant a way as he could manage.

Derek Carr is not concerned with Michael Thomas's opinions
Quarterback Derek Carr for the New Orleans Saints has been criticized publicly via social media by one of his former teammates. It was Michael Thomas claiming his former teammate Derek Carr lacked passing ability that has seen Chris Olave be beaten up and inactive for nearly a few minutes of playing time. According to Thomas, it was Carr's pass which knocked Olave concussively. After losing the Carolina Panthers, Carr shot back with class at Thomas rant with the proof that he simply doesn't care what Michael Thomas has to say on him.

"I have love for Mike," Carr said. "And when he does that, I don't really care for it, obviously. You know, I've had so many teammates over the years and he's like the one dude that didn't get along with me. And I don't know what I did to him, I don't know why he feels that way. I'm sorry for whatever he's dealing with to make him feel like he's got to do that.”

Carr says Thomas has never called him to talk over their differences. He said he has called him many times, hoping he would join a new team. Thomas is now 31 years old, and he is a free agent. He played last season with the Saints for Carr. He ended that season with 39 catches for 448 yards with one touchdown in 10 games.
