Metro railway, Kolkata, has been conducting ‘Special Campaign 4.0’ since October 2 to 10. During this campaign intensive cleaning and sanitisation drives at stations, trains, colonies, hospitals and other railway establishments are being carried out. As a part of this campaign, a Rail Chaupal was organised at Dakshineswar station to make the passengers aware about swachhta, or cleanliness today. Swapan Sarkar, assistant operations manager/O&M, Metro Railway presided over this Chaupal. He requested all to keep metro premises clean. He also interacted with them. Metro commuters expressed their satisfaction about the standard of cleanliness in the Metro premises. Extensive cleanliness drive was organized at Dakshineswar and banners have been put on display to make all aware about this Chaupal. Repeated announcements were also made through the public address system in the stations about the importance of this Swachhta programme.
