The film began its second week with a collection of Rs 5 crore. While it did see some growth at the box office on Saturday and Sunday, raking in an estimated Rs 8.25 crore and Rs 11.75 crore, the film earned a week 2 net total of Rs 30 crore.
This brings its total domestic net collection to around Rs 125.75 crore. The film's worldwide gross is powering on to the Rs 170 crore mark, with impressive numbers coming in from overseas markets.
Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, Raid 2 features Ajay Devgn reprising his role as IRS officer Amay Patnaik, with Riteish Deshmukh portraying the antagonist, and Vaani Kapoor as Malini.
Raid 2 has now become Ajay Devgn's eighth highest-grossing film, surpassing the lifetime collections of Golmaal 3 and Son of Sardaar. While there is no major releases in Hindi coming up this weekend, the film will need to watch out for Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible- The Final Reckoning which hits theatres on Saturday, May 17. The Hollywood action film, believed to be the final outing in the franchise, has a huge market in India. It would be interesting to see how well the film performs, considering that it will be released a day late at the box office.
