After many celebrities criticize Kanwar Dhillon for giving interviews to clarify Alice Kaushik’s comments about his proposal to her. Now Shalini Kapoor Sagar who has been a very close friend to both during they started the relationship came out in support of the Udne Ki Aasha actor.
She said, "I feel Kanwar has stood by Alice through a lot of thick and thin and visa versa so it's not fair to judge him through his one statement. We do not know what state of mind one is while speaking. I have been a witness to a lot of ups and downs in their relationship and only the couple knows best what's happening between the two. I feel sad about how people are coming out and talking. Guess Kanwar reacted to this because he wanted to end rumours about their marriage happening in the show. He didn't want to publicity over their relationship."
Actress Alice Kaushik and Shalini Kapoor Sagar who featured together in the TV show, ‘Kahan Hum Kahan Tum’ in 2019, connected pretty well during the course of the shoot and their bond didn’t just end with the show in 2020. They continued to be in touch with each other in fact the relationship became stronger and later Alice shifted to the same society, where Shalini was living. They became a family.. but it was recently when they both stopped talking and moved apart.
Shalini currently seen in the TV show, Iss Ishq Ka Rabb Rakha shared, "Alice and my relationship has seen a lot of transition and all I can do is wish the best as I have truly loved her. We had met on the sets and bonded extremely well but the news is true that It's been strained for a year n a half. I knew how she craved for a family and a mother figure and giving her that love came organically."
She continued, "It's really very sad that despite having the best interest in my heart I have been judged and scorned. Escapism is not always the right route. You can't cook a story and feel victimized in your head. She holds a very special place in my heart but certain behavioral issues have to be mended in her. I am filled with pain to even talk about this in the open."
She concluded by adding, "In the course of time people change when they make more friends and see success. But the person who loved and cared is the one who becomes the loser in the bargain. I don't want to talk about the fights in detail. But I always end up crying thinking about the same. My message to her is despite all she has said and inflicted pain on me I am just a sorry and a peck away. I hope sense prevails and she realizes and changes a few behaviour patterns in her. She is just a hug away."
