Raipur: Governor Ramen Deka inaugurated a new Services Selection Board (SSB) Training Centre at Sainik School Ambikapur on Friday. This is Chhattisgarh's only SSB Training Centre and aims to prepare cadets for careers in the Armed Forces.
The Centre will provide cadets with the necessary skills and training for the SSB selection process. The governor also inaugurated an idol of Maa Saraswati, the Goddess of Knowledge and Wisdom, at the school's Vikram Batra Block. Deka is the second governor to visit the Sainik School, following former governor Shekhar Dutt (Sena Medal). He honoured school officers and staff members for their service, including Lt Col (Dr) P Sreenivas, Sqn Ldr James Nair, and mathematics teacher T. Malleshwar Rao.
