India skipper Rohit Sharma and his wife Ritika Sajdeh were spotted at an NBA game in Abu Dhabi, as the duo left for a holiday after the two-Test Bangladesh series. Boston Celtics and the Denver Nuggets faced off in a pre-season game at the Etihad Arena in Yas Island, a destination in the Gulf region that has become very popular for sports over the last few years.For the third straight season, NBA basketball has headed back to the Arabian Gulf for The NBA Abu Dhabi Games 2024. Defending champions Celtics faced the Nuggets in the opening match of the tour. Celtics edged the Nuggets by four points in the game, winning 107-103. USA's Payton Pritchard had a match-high 21 points for Boston, which was 20-for-61 from three-point range. Rohit posed for a picture with former Spanish goalkeeper Iker Casillas as well during his visit to the game. The Indian skipper is seemingly on holiday after leading his team to a 2-0 Test series win against Bangladesh. India won the first Test by a whopping 280 runs but what caught the eye of cricket fans across the world was how the team managed to win the second Test, with less than three days of play possible in Kanpur due to inclement weather. The series win against Bangladesh helped India consolidate their place at the top of the World Test Championship standings. They are the frontrunners to qualify for the WTC Final, for the third consecutive time. India next play three Tests against New Zealand, starting October 16 in Bengaluru. The Indian team will then fly to Australia for the five-Test Border-Gavaskar Trophy, beginning November 22 in Perth.
