Ace Australia batter Marnus Labuschagne has said that he enjoys battling against India pacer Mohammed Siraj and there are quite a few reasons behind it. Notably, even before the latter had made his India debut, Labuschagne knew him from one of his outings at the MRF Pace Academy in Chennai and lauded the India pacer for his passion. The Border-Gavaskar series between India and Australia will start on November 22, with the first Test at Perth. Siraj had a great outing Down Under in the 2020-21 series and he will look to continue his great form in Australia. Over the years, India have gained an upper hand over Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. India have won their previous four series against Australia in a row, including two victories over the mighty Aussies in the 2018-19 and 2020-21 seasons, Down Under. This has made India a much more successful team in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, with them winning the series a record 10 times and Australia winning it on five occasions, with their last series victory over India coming in during the 2014-15 season. "I enjoy battles with Mohammed Siraj for many reasons. We were at the academy in 2015-16 and he was working with the MRF Academy and we played against each other. So that's when I first met him and to see his career go in that direction," Labuschagne said while speaking on Star Sports.
