Now, months after their split. GV Prakash's mother, singer Reihana mother spoke about their divorce in a recent podcast.

She said “Saindhavi is a wonderful person. I don’t know why such things (Divorce) happened. But I would really love her to come back home. When they were together, I would never imagine them to part ways and now when they have separated, I don't think my wish that they reconcile would be fulfilled. it's destiny. I'm not the reason at all.”Reihana also spoke about her bond with Saindhavi. Sne said "When I spoke to my son about their divorce, his reasons are hard for me to digest yet its a decision that's taken,’’ she added. About GV Prakash and Saindhavi's divorceAnnouncing her divorce, Saindhavi posted "To clarify, our divorce is not due to any external force, and randomly assassinating someone’s character baselessly is unacceptable. This decision was mutually made by both of us for our betterment.”Saindhavi said that GV Prakash and her were childhood friends, and added that they will continue to maintain that friendship, “GV Prakash and I have been friends for 24 years since our school days, and we will continue to maintain that friendship moving forward.”A day before she shared her note, GV Prakash shared a messags, asking trolls to back off. “It’s disheartening to see people debate about the union or separation of two people without proper understanding. It is unacceptable to pass comments on personal lives just because they’re celebrities. Has Tamil people’s honour come down so much that they don’t realise how their comments hurt people?” he wrote.
