Tyson Fury sat ringside at Wembley Stadium as Daniel Dubois knocked out Anthony Joshua in the fifth round of their IBF world heavyweight title fight - and got the outcome he wanted.

Dubois (22-2) entered the fight as the champion but was still slated as many as the underdog. He knocked Joshua (28-4) down four times in the first four rounds before finishing the fight less than a minute into the fifth.

Fury had a feeling the fight would end in a knockout, and got his wish by seeing that outcome as a fan at ringside. He said before the fight: "I think it's a tough fight for both fighters, they're going to knock lumps out of each other and it could go either way.

Even though Fury sat on the fence with his prediction of who would, he did predict excitement: "It's not a foregone conclusion [of who will win; they're both heavy punchers and could knock each other out.

"I'm looking forward to the fight. The real winners are the ones who come and watch people punch the **** out of each other.

"I'm going as a fan and don't have any percentages for either man; whoever wins, wins. I'm sure it's going to be an entertaining fight as long as it lasts, if there's not a knockout either way I'll be disappointed.

"The occasion might get to Daniel, you don't know what role the crowd might play in a fight but in my experience, in a boxing fight you're in there and it's a fight, and it's on like Donkey Kong."

Fury is set to face Oleksandr Usyk on December 21, 2024, in a rematch of their fight from May. Usyk handed Fury his first-ever defeat as a professional boxer to become the sport's first undisputed champion since 1999.

If Usyk were to win, Dubois could challenge him to a fight in 2025 to settle the undisputed world heavyweight title once and for all. However, the Ukrainian defeated Dubois last year, albeit after controversy after a Dubois body shot which knocked Usyk down was called as a low blow.

"I'm fighting to get all the glory, to me I'm the hunter and I need to hunt," Dubois said after defeating Joshua. "It's been a journey and I'm grateful to be in this position. I'm a gladiator, I'm a warrior until the bitter end. I want to get to the top of this sport and reach my full potential."

Dubois was asked who he would like to challenge next: "All of the best, maybe Usyk, a big shot at my redemption, but anyone can get it," he answered.
