The transfer window is hotting up on the final day of July, with Premier League clubs aware that time is beginning to run out to get their business done before deadline day. Strikers have been the order of the week, with Alexander Isak pushing to leave Newcastle for Liverpool and a bumper contract.
Isak's revelation has forced Newcastle to search for a replacement, with RB Leipzig hotshot Benjamin Sesko their current preferred option. However, he appears to want a move to Manchester United instead, with the Red Devils knocked back in their pursuit of Ollie Watkins.
Both Newcastle and Manchester United had ideally been searching for English top-flight experience, with Yoane Wissa, Jean-Philippe Mateta and Watkins included in their targets, but Sesko's potential is proving too hard to ignore.
