New set photos from the highly anticipated fourth season of Prime Video's popular thriller series, Reacher, may have unveiled the protagonist's latest love interest.
The series, based on Lee Child's bestselling crime novels, stars Alan Ritchson as the towering ex-Military Policeman who now leads a nomadic life, dispensing justice to criminals and mob bosses across the United States.
The first three seasons have been a success for the streaming platform, with the fourth instalment, based on Child's 2009 novel Gone Tomorrow, just around the corner.
This time, the drama begins in New York City where Reacher is travelling on a late-night subway train when he spots a passenger who fits the description of a suicide bomber.
His decision on whether or not to intervene sets off a chain of events that lead him to NYPD homicide detective Theresa Lee, and together they slowly uncover a conspiracy that could reach as far as Washington, reports the Mirror.
For the television adaptation, detective Lee has been renamed Tamara Green and will be played by Sydelle Noel.
Netflix viewers may recognise Noel as Cherry 'Junkchain' Bang, one of the main characters in the streaming giant's hit TV series GLOW.
In the most recent set photos, shared on Instagram, Reacher's newest female lead was seen smiling, dressed in a practical outfit of black suit trousers and a purple vest.
Whilst she smiled for the cameras, Noel also displayed her toned arms in the sleeveless garment, demonstrating she'll be a formidable presence in any confrontations Tamara and Reacher encounter this series.
Supporters were thrilled to catch their first glimpse of the newcomer to the popular thriller programme, flocking to the comments section to welcome Noel into the Reacher world.
Some have also wondered whether she'll become another romantic interest for the rugged protagonist.
"She looks great, I already like her!" one fan responded.
Another pondered: "Is she the new love interest to Reacher??"
Readers of the novels will already understand how Reacher's New York assignment unfolds, including his collaboration with Theresa/Tamara.
For the moment, however, audiences can only guess what lies ahead as the fourth series of Reacher probably won't broadcast for another year.
Reacher is available to stream on Prime Video.
