Princess Kate was met with a public outpouring of love on Sunday as she stepped out to present the trophies at the Wimbledon final. The Princess of Wales, who had watched the men's Wimbledon final from the Royal Box, beamed as she walked onto Centre Court.
However, before she awarded world number 1 Jannik Sinner with the winner's trophy, with Carlos Alcaraz coming second, she was met with an unexpected message from a fan. While the entire court was silent, one fan was heard shouting "I love you Kate". The moment was caught on video, and stirred an adorable reaction from Princess Kate, 43, and fellow attendees at the match.
While Kate, who is the royal patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, beamed at the unexpected message and was seen laughing, crowds simply cheered in response.
The moment has been widely shared on social media, with many royal fans praising the Wimbledon attendee for shouting out the declaration of love.
One fan wrote: "She's wonderful. We all love her!"
Another said: "She deserves all the love she is receiving and more."
Someone else said: "Yes we do LOVE KATE!"
A fourth fan commented: "We all love Catherine."
While Kate, 43, attended Wimbledon alone on Saturday, she was joined by her husband Prince William, 43, and their two oldest children Prince George, 11, and Princess Charlotte, 10, on Sunday.
Their youngest son Prince Louis, seven, did not attend the match.
