Princess Eugenie shared a heartfelt tribute to the women who have shaped her life, reserving special praise for Queen Elizabeth II. Speaking on Kate Thornton's podcast, Eugenie said: "She was just one of the best people in the world. Her sense of duty and her dedication and her love of her people really happened in public - like you all saw - and it happened in private with us."
She continued: "We learned how to do things from her... how to talk to people, how to stay strong and dutiful and kind. She instilled in us a huge amount and - gosh I'm lucky to have a bit of her."
The Princess added: "When she does I said to people 'How lucky am I, to have part of her in me? '" Eugenie, who celebrated her wedding anniversary on Saturday, hopes her son, August, will inherit some of the late Queen's qualities.
She said: "I'd love Augie to have her patience, her calmness and her kindness, while always being able to laugh at himself and keep a twinkle in his eye."
Eugenie also expressed her hope to pass on some of the values she learned from her grandmother to her own family. The Royal also praised her mother, Sarah Ferguson, for teaching her the importance of giving back.
She explained that the Duchess of York has "founded a charity herself, and built schools and went around the world". Eugenie revealed that she and sister Beatrice shared their mum "with all the children we could think of that she needed to help."
Beatrice also received admiration, with Eugenie highlighting her sister's courageous battle with dyslexia, which Eugenie believes has "made her the person she is today".
Princess Eugenie has carried on a family legacy of philanthropy, much like her mother and grandmother, as a co-founder of The Anti-Slavery Collective, an organisation focused on eliminating modern slavery.
She also lends her support to numerous other charitable causes, including the Teenage Cancer Trust and Children in Crisis.
