is celebrating her 10th birthday today, with many royal fans no doubt thinking back to the moment the princess' birth was announced a decade ago. Prince William and Princess Kate on May 2, 2015, at 8.34 am in the morning.
As well as spending time with their newborn, and introducing Prince George to his new sister, the royal couple also decided to show Charlotte off to the world the same day shortly after the birth of the princess was announced to the world. The announcement was met with happiness and joy around the globe, but for one person the day was also quite stressful. This is because former royal aide Jason Knauf had a note about the princess' arrival before it was publicly announced, and
In an interview with earlier this year, Knauf recalled his memories of the day after he received the note of Charlotte's arrival. He said: "We weren't going to announce it for another couple of hours, and I had this piece of paper to go write this press release.
"I'm still out there with hundreds of journalists trying to have a game face, and then I couldn't find the piece of paper, and I think I had dropped it somewhere on the street. Which we managed to get through, but not announce it.
"But somewhere on that street the entire time was a piece of paper that said there had been a little princess born, what time and how much she weighed."
Knauf "never found" the paper, however he said that no one else did either, which meant the announcement of the birth was not leaked.

The Prince and Princess of Wales were delighted to welcome their second child, naming her Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.
One of the first royals to visit the newborn princess after the birth was the late Queen Elizabeth II, who
Kate once said: "The (late) Queen was really thrilled that it was a little girl. I think as soon as we came back here to Kensington she was one of our first visitors here.
"I think she's very fond of Charlotte. She's always watching what she's up to."
