Aidan O'Brien was delighted with "lovely filly" Minnie Hauk after she justified short odds in the Juddmonte Irish Oaks.
Sent off at just 2-11 after winning the English version at Epsom, the favourite had to work to master Wemightakedlongway, trained by O'Brien's son Joseph.
It was a good result for Ballydoyle, hours after two of their most exciting horses Lake Victoria and Albert Einstein were ruled out of upcoming races.
"She's one of those fillies that you're probably never going to see at her best until the tempo is very strong and very high," said Aidan O'Brien, assessing the length-and-a-quarter verdict.
While jockey Ryan Moore added: "She's quite deceptive. She's become more professional and at least we've learned a little bit more about her today. When she got to the front at Epsom, she went asleep on me like at Chester and she'll be better than this."
Earlier O'Brien told ITV Racing that Albert Einstein, who he said was "probably as fast a horse as we have ever seen work", is unlikely to run again this season.
The son of Wootton Bassett has been the ante-post favourite for next year's 2,000 Guineas and Derby since winning both career starts and earning rave reviews from the team.
But he missed Royal Ascot and has now suffered a setback, suggesting the Group 3 Marble Hill Stakes in May could have rounded off his juvenile campaign.
And Lake Victoira, another horse ruled out of the summer flat racing extravaganza in Berkshire, might not be seen on the racecourse again.
Her record includes Group One strikes in the Moyglare Stud Stakes, Cheveley Park and at the Breeders' Cup in America.
"She is not back in exercise yet," O'Brien added. "John (Halley, vet) will make the decision on whether she comes back into work for this year or is left alone until next year or is retired altogether. They'll be decisions that will be made as weeks go by."
