Kate Garraway has shared that she noticed a drastic change in her weight while competing on BBC's Traitors. The Good Morning Britain host was the latest celeb to be banished from the Scottish castle last night as her co-stars incorrectly named her as a Traitor.
Kate's non-committal attitude towards the game made her suspicious from the start, but the ITV star had maintained that she was simply accustomed to being natural under pressure due to her job. Although her name had been mentioned a few times, the 58-year-old had managed to stay in the game, but on the latest episode, she narrowly missed out on being in the final five. But now, since her exit, Kate has opened up on how the programme affected her - including causing her to gain weight because of all the "stress eating" she did. Taking to Instagram, the widowed mum of two shared some of her experiences from behind the scenes, including things that fans wouldn't know about when the cameras stop rolling.
Speaking in the GMB studio, the presenter shared: "Things that you might not know about Celebrity Traitors are that they feed you so much. I'm not joking.
"Every time they had to pause to reset something or do something spooky, they brought out more food. Honestly, I put on about half a stone."
She burst out laughing before adding: "It was because I was so anxious! I was just stress eating anything that came my way."
Kate pretended to pile food into her mouth as she chuckled away to herself before adding: "But they do look after us very, very well."
She added that other things fans may not know is that the Castle where the hit BBC show is filmed is "actually really warm." She said that while outside is freezing, inside "you're sweating".
"Of course, Alan was sweating for reasons of guilt," Kate joked. "But the rest of us were just very hot."
Speaking to Ranvir Singh and Adil Ray about her experience, she summarised: "It's been brilliant, because when you're in there, it's such a different experience from when you're watching it."
