descended into chaos during a dramatic live panel discussion following Joe Biden's shocking announcement that he has been diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer. The fiery segment quickly spiralled into a shouting match as Republican strategist and Democratic commentator Julie Roginsky clashed over who should really be facing scrutiny: Biden, who is now out of office, or Trump, who returned to the White House this year.
Republicans have been insisting that Biden's cancer cannot have spread this quickly and questioning the state of his health when he was president. Jennings demanded: "Are you arguing that Joe Biden was fine? You keep pivoting back to Trump who is clearly fine. I'm just asking if you're arguing that something was not wrong with Joe Biden."
Ronginsky quickly hit back: "I'm not arguing that he was fine. I'm arguing that Trump - let me answer your question. I'm so glad you asked that question. Because Joe Biden is no longer the president."
Jennings continuously tried to interrupt her, but the commentator continued: "Donald Trump is the president of the United States. I would dearly love to see a cognitive test from him, because as somebody who has lived in the New York media market for the last 40 years, I can tell you the Donald Trump I knew in the 80s is not the Donald Trump that I hear today."
Jennings responded in a patronising tone, saying: "So your answer to cover up is Trump. Your answer to everything is Trump. The cover up is the story tonight." Roginsky retorted: "Yes. The cover up is also the President of the United States, who happens to be Donald J Trump today - yeah, you can laugh all you want."
"I am definitely laughing," Jennings responded sarcastically.
"No no, we're not laughing," Roginsky shot back. "You don't want to answer the question, Scott. I'd love to see his cognitive test."
This clash has come in the wake of the bombshell revelation that Biden, now 82, has been - which has already spread to his bones. The former president reportedly asked for medical attention after experiencing urinary symptoms, but some have wondered why the cancer wasn't caught sooner, and how long he has had it for.
Medical experts are divided. Some say Biden's form of cancer may have been quietly progressing for years, potentially since the start of his presidency in 2021. Others are questioning whether his medical team or political aides failed to disclose that his condition was getting worse to the public ahead of the 2024 election.
During a meeting at the White House on Monday, Trump suggested without evidence that . He said: "I think it is very sad actually. I am surprised that the public wasn't notified a long time ago. It could take years to get to this level of danger."
