Amazon slashes 'super comfy' rattan egg chair by half price to less than £200

The final month of summer is here, and while there are still plenty of balmy days ahead, it's also a great time to snap up a deal on garden furniture as shops start to sell off their seasonal stock. Hanging egg chairs have become a popular outdoor furniture option this summer, with the likes of Dunelm and Debenhams all selling their own version of the cult item.

Now, Amazon has slashed 50% off a Yaheetech Rattan Swing Chair. While the chair usually sells for £359.99, it's currently discounted to just £179.99. The rattan hanging egg chair comes in grey or white options, reports the Liverpool Echo.

The chair includes a padded seat area, a robust base designed to minimise swaying, a teardrop silhouette, and a heavy-duty chain linking it to its frame. The chair isn't limited to outdoor use either; some customers have purchased it for indoor spaces.

One Amazon customer commented: "Fantastic! I bought it for my daughter's bedroom, but to be honest, I'm the one using it the most. It's so spacious and comfy-reading a book in it is pure pleasure. It looks great, too!"

Another shopper said: " I really love this. The only reason I haven't scored it five [stars] is that the cover does let water in, which pools at the bottom of the cover. The bit that attaches the spring at the top has discoloured a little, as if it would rust. However, it's super comfy, and I love sitting in it. I have studied others in shops, and this is better quality!"

Another individual commented on its ease of assembly, saying: "It looks great, it was easy to set up, didn't need instructions, it was that straightforward and is super comfy. Wish I had room for another."

A fourth shopper chimed in: "One of the best purchases I've ever made. It's a very good quality and worth the money."

Wayfair has a similar VonHaus egg chair that is slightly cheaper at £169.99. Marketed as "perfect for your garden, patio, or decking", it features a PE rattan weave construction and a polyester padded seat.

The retailer states the chair offers weather-resistant properties. At Very, shoppers can find £100 off the Portofino Hanging Egg Chair, now £229.99, reduced from £329.99. The retailer suggests positioning the chair in a conservatory, garden room or patio area.
