The consecration of Devi Maa was done in the temple on 21st March 2015. The temple priest Jaikishan Shakya told that on the occasion of Navratri, Jawar was sown in the temple. On the night of Panchami, a tableau of Jawar was decorated and devotees were present in the temple for darshan. During this time, Ramsharan Bhagat, who lives near the temple, cut his tongue of more than three inches and offered it in front of the idol of Maa Ratangarh Devi. He kept his cut tongue in a skull, which filled with blood. This incident shocked the people present in the temple, but people considered it a symbol of Ramsharan's deep faith and devotion.
