Send Push

Javed Akhtar was first married to Honey Irani. The couple has two children, Farhan Akhtar and Zoya Akhtar. But, Javed and Honey got divorced in 1985. This divorce had a deep impact on Farhan Akhtar. Recently, Farhan along with his wife Shibani Dandekar appeared on Rhea Chakraborty's podcast, where he talked about his parents' divorce and how difficult this event was for him.

Farhan's perspective changed after his parents' divorce:  Farhan said that his perspective completely changed after his parents' separation. He said, "Until my parents' separation happened, I thought everything was fine. But when it happened, I could not understand what was happening to me. I did not know what was going on in our house."

Zoya was more understanding:  Farhan also revealed that his sister Zoya Akhtar was more understanding than him. He said, "Zoya knew what was happening, while I was in my own world. Zoya was always very mature and shared her grief with mother. Maybe because of this, it was easy for Zoya to understand, while I was not able to understand myself."

How did Farhan become angry?:  Farhan also told how he became angry after his parents separated. He said, "I had to make myself defensive after my parents separated. Children often do not have that filter, so they use words that can hurt other children. Because of this, I started getting very angry, because I always thought, 'Why do I have to listen to all this?'" Talking about the work front, Farhan Akhtar will soon be seen in the film 120 Bahadur, in which he will play the role of PVC Major Shaitan Singh. Apart from this, Farhan will also direct Ranveer Singh and Kiara Advani starrer Don 3. Also, he is planning to make the film Jee Le Zara with Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra, and Katrina Kaif.
