Emmerdale star teases Gabby's secret as soap legend returns with a bombshell

Gabby Thomas is hiding a secret on Emmerdale, with new scenes hinting at it after a legend's return to the show.

Now, Gabby actress Rosie Bentham has teased what the character is hiding. Bernice Blackstock, Gabby's mum, made her big return this week and it was soon clear she knew something.

She was desperate to stop her daughter marrying Vinny Dingle, on the day of their wedding, claiming to have reasons why it should not go ahead. Gabby gave her a weird look as if they were both hiding something, even after Gabby visited Vinny and made a sweet gesture.

With Vinny hiding secrets of his own, Monday's episode ended with the character heading to the police station to report his attacker Mike, it seemed. But will this lead to Vinny spilling all to Gabby about what he's been hiding for months?

As for Gabby, actress Rosie has teased all about the secret the character is keeping and her desperation to cover it up. She also addressed whether Gabby and Vinny should be together, believing there were signs that they were "on different paths".

Rosie shared: "I think the audience might clock on to this because when I’m reading the scripts and when I’m watching it, I think it’s obvious that the two of them are on very different paths. Their headspace are in different areas.

"Gabby’s so full speed ahead since she got back from Portugal, she’s very full-on with him, very touchy-feely, smothering him. Vinny showing quite clear signs of a man that’s struggling but Gabby’s got her little blinkers on and she’s just like ‘Wedding, wedding, wedding, me, me, me.’"

While she didn't give away if the pair do tie the knot or not, she did tease secrets could remain. Again not giving away what Gabby is hiding, she suggested all of their lies needed to come out and be discussed.

Rosie said: "Whether they get married or not I think there’s a lot that needs delving into, and some secrets that need to come out and need to be talked about. Whether they try to sweep things under the carpet or address it there and then, I hope Gabby gets her happy ever after."

Viewers can see the wedding play out this week, with more to be revealed about the couple's drama.
