The 'Legends Live' on tomorrow: Mumbai city is ready to make history

Mumbai | A new history will begin when legendary singer Suresh Wadkar sings on the stage decorated with ‘Padayani Kolams’ at Legends Live in Mumbai.

In the first edition of 'Legends Live' by the Malayali youth Nikhil Nair, the Padayani Kolams (a typical tableau of Kerala) will be there in the stage intertwined with Kerala's agricultural and relics of ancient culture for the first time in Mumbai when renowned singer Suresh Wadkar performs.

The background of ‘Padayani’ will be a new experience to the metropolis when Suresh Wadkar, who won the hearts of India with his Hindi Marathi devotional songs, starts a new music series at Mulund Kalidas Natya Mandir Hall on Saturday, November 9 at 7 pm.

Suresh Wadkar will be joined by Maharashtra's favorite singer Vaishali Samant. The stage is getting ready for the day with the decoration that you have never seen before. 

Multi coloured layouts in Areca palm strips, Areca spathe and coconut midrib are being put up in the metropolis under the leadership of K R Ranjith Kadammanitta, the famous padayani artist of Kerala. He himself directs the artistic Kolams – handicrafts prepared by using areca spathe and tender palm leaves of coconut.

The Kolams are put up by the artists of the ‘Kadammanitta Gothrakalakalari’, the most famous Kadammanitta Padayani performance group in southern Kerala. 

K. R. Ranjith Kadammanitta (2018 Kerala State Government diamond Jubilee Fellowship winner and 2019 Kerala Nadan Kala Akademi Yuva Pratibha Award winner) directs the stage decoration with the Padayani and Kuruthola (tender palm leaves of coconut), which are an asset of the agricultural and ancient culture. Artists Anish Kadammanitta, Sajith, Krishnakumar, Umesh and Randeep will participate in this event.

Organized in collaboration with Girija Welfare Association, children from orphanages will also be present as special guests at this musical evening.

Legends live will be staged with the state-of-the-art technology of sound and light design according to the international standard.

Directed by Nikhil Nair, a Mumbai Malayali, this musical night is a testament to Suresh Wadkar's classic songs that have influenced millions across generations.

Adept at introducing new technologies in the best possible way, Nikhil was already Senior Producer & Studio Director of Bigg Boss Hindi, Marathi & Malayalam and Event Coordinator for several mega shows like IIFA Awards, Star Parivar.

Nikhil Nair's; who has vast experience in organizing large corporate gatherings, variety gatherings, music nights and mega-events; Legends Live’s tickets are selling fast.

Nikhil was also present in designing the wedding ceremony of Mukesh Ambani's son Anant Ambani. 

Nikhil has also set foot in the dance scene of Hindi cinema.

Nikhil is the son of former Lok Kerala Sabha member, Malayalam Mission teacher and Kerala Central Organization Committee member Rajashri Mohan and C K Mohan Kumar. An active presence in Mumbai's cultural and social circles, Nikhil is currently pursuing an MBA in Artificial Intelligence. Nikhil is a computer engineer and holds a master's degree in event management.
