A big news has come out before the mega auction of IPL 2025. A star all-rounder may be out of the next season, according to reports, this player will not even give his name in the mega auction. Actually, the player wants to focus on Test cricket.

A mega auction will be organized before IPL 2025. Recently the retention list was released, in which 10 teams retained a total of 47 players. Now all the other players will be seen in the auction, which also includes the names of many star players. Meanwhile, big news related to a veteran player has come to light. This player may be out of IPL 2025! It is believed that due to the new rules of BCCI, the players will not even give their names in the auction.

The last date for registration for IPL mega auction is Sunday i.e. 3 November. Meanwhile, news has come out that England Test team captain Ben Stokes will not give his name in the auction. According to a report in The Telegraph, Ben Stokes is deciding to focus on Test cricket.

Let us tell you that Ben Stokes was not a part of the last season as well. He was last seen playing in IPL 2023, when he was part of Chennai Super Kings. Chennai Super Kings bought him for Rs 16.25 crore, but due to injuries he could play only a few matches.

According to reports, Ben Stokes wants to return to white ball cricket for England. He played his last T20 match for England in the 2022 T20 World Cup. After retiring from ODI Internationals, he took a U-turn and made a comeback in the 2023 ODI World Cup. But now there are reports that he can once again return to the ODI and T20 team under the coaching of Brendon McCullum. The Champions Trophy is also to be played early next year. In such a situation, Ben Stokes can take a big decision regarding his career.

One of the reasons behind Stokes' withdrawal from the auction is also believed to be the new rule of BCCI. Actually, according to the new rules of the IPL Governing Council, if a foreign player withdraws his name without any valid reason after being sold in the auction, he may face a ban of two years. It has been seen many times that foreign players leave their franchise at the beginning of the season, in such a situation BCCI has made this rule.
