Cybercriminals are inventing new ways to cheat people. Cybercriminals are now taking advantage of advanced technology as well. These days cyber thugs are using a new method to cheat people. People have less information about this, so they are falling prey to it. Cyber criminals call people and introduce themselves as government officials or members of an organization.
Cybercriminals tell people about the economic scheme from the government on phone calls. After this, they get personal information from people while talking to them. Many times cyber criminals also send some kind of phishing link, as soon as people click on that link, the device gets hacked or all the information of the device goes to the hacker.
To avoid such cyber scams, do not share your personal information and OTP, etc. on phone calls from any unknown number. If someone introduces himself as a government official or a member of an organization, then first verify him from an authorized place. If you find anything suspicious about the caller, report it on the Cyber Portal, Helpline Number 1930, and Chakshu Portal.
