Panvel will witness a vibrant celebration of the king of fruits with a three-day 'Aamba Mahotsav' (Mango Festival), organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Panvel City under the initiative of MLA Prashant Thakur. The festival, which runs from May 16 to 18, is being held in celebration of the birthday of former Municipal House Leader Paresh Thakur and will feature a variety of cultural and entertainment programs.
The festival will take place at the Gujarati School Grounds, located opposite Dr. Patwardhan Hospital in Panvel.
The event lineup includes:May 16 (Friday), 6 PM: "Khel Khelya Saryajani Bala, Jinkuya Assal Paithani" – a fun-filled competition for women with a chance to win an authentic Paithani saree.May 17 (Saturday), 7 PM: "Abhang Repost" – a soulful performance celebrating devotional music.May 18 (Sunday): "Varsa Sanskruticha" – a grand cultural evening showcasing a blend of music, dance, and traditional arts.
Event coordinator and city corporator Ruchita Londhe, along with BJP Panvel City Mandal President Sumit Zunjarrao, have urged residents to attend in large numbers and make the most of this unique celebration.
