Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Police have registered case against nine people for allegedly running an illegal catheterisation laboratory or cath lab at a hospital in Damoh, where fake cardiologist Dr Narendra Yadav alias Dr N John Camm performed procedures on patients, seven of whom died, officials said.
Last week, the authorities had sealed the cath lab of Missionary Hospital in Damoh. Damoh SP Shrut Kirti Somavanshi said nine people including the director and managing committee members of Mission Hospital were booked for getting the registration of cath lab done through online mode on the basis of forged documents.
The hospital had obtained registration for cath lab by forging the signature of Jabalpur-based doctor Akhilesh Dubey, he said. The nine accused identified in the case are Ashim Newton, Frank Harrison, Indu Lal, Jeevan Massey, Roshan Prasad, Qadir Yusuf, Ajay Lal, Sanjeev Lambard and Vijay Lambard.
