Somy Ali, actress and social activist who dated Salman Khan for nearly eight years shared candid insights with IANS about her time with him, her Bollywood journey, the Lawrence Bishnoi controversy, and more.
When questioned why Salman maintains friendly relations with other ex-girlfriends like Sangeeta Bijlani and Katrina Kaif but not with her, Somy responded, “The way Salman treated me was unique. Sangeeta and Katrina didn’t experience even half the abuse that I did.”
She added that Aishwarya Rai also endured significant mistreatment, allegedly stating, “He abused Aishwarya severely, and I think he may have even fractured her shoulder. As for Katrina, I’m not certain of the details.” Somy also drew a striking comparison, remarking, “Considering what Salman did to me, I can honestly say that Bishnoi is a better person.”
Recalling specific incidents, Somy recounted a moment when Salman was physically assaulting her, and a household helper intervened, knocking on the door and pleading with him to stop. She further recalled actress Tabu once breaking down in tears upon seeing her in pain. “I had been bedridden for a long time due to intense back pain, and Tabu was heartbroken at my condition, though Salman never came to check on me,” she shared. Somy mentioned that only her mother and a few close friends know the true extent of her experiences with Salman.
Somy is currently working on a book about her past relationship with Salman, intending to reveal everything.

The former actress recently held an AMA (Ask Me Anything) session on Reddit where she claimed that she left Bollywood as she was tired dealing with Khna's infidelities. A Redditor asked her why she left Bollywood, and she said, “Because I was tired of Salman's 8-night stands, not one. Also, I didn't appreciate being physically and verbally abused on a daily basis.” She added, “I left when a boyfriend was with some new girl named Ash! I was tired of his 8 nightstands! And I finished my education.”
When asked how Salman ended up with her, Somy remarked, “I wasn’t a ‘badass’ at 16.” She claimed that her Bollywood comeback has been blocked numerous times, allegedly by a former boyfriend afraid she’d reveal his true character.
