Nothing like work to take your mind off personal turmoil. Tamil actor Jayam Ravi, who was recently in the news for a messy separation from his estranged wife Aarti, is reportedly collaborating with BTG Universal, a major production house. The specifics surrounding the situation have been kept confidential.
BTG Universal previously funded the recent horror movie ' Demonte Colony 2', featuring Arulnithi in the main role.

The production house is currently working on Arun Vijay's 'Retta Thala' and Vaibhav's 'Chennai City Gangsters'.

In other news, Jayam Ravi has recently confirmed his 34th film, titled JR 34, which will be directed by Ganesh K Babu, known for Dada. The promotional poster showcases a split image of him, with one half in grey tones and the other in white.

He is also looking forward to the release of Brother, directed by M Rajesh, which is set to premiere in theaters during Diwali. It will be released simultaneously with Sivakarthikeyan's Amaran and Kavin's Bloody Beggar. Additionally, he will appear in Kadhalikka Neramillai, directed by Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi, a romantic film featuring Nithya Menen in a significant role. Jayam Ravi has also worked on the fantasy film Genie, directed by newcomer Arjunan Jr., which is pending release. Furthermore, he is set to reprise his role in the sequel to Thani Oruvan, directed by Mohan Raja, which is currently in development.

The 'Ponniyin Selvan’ star announced his separation from wife Aarti after more than a decade of marriage. In an interview, he claimed he was a victim of domestic abuse and she was controlling his finances. He alleged that he endured significant disrespect from his estranged spouse and her family. He emphasized that even with a successful career, he lacked a personal bank account and that his wife managed all of his finances.

He stated that he had no authority over his spending and was forced to rely on his ex-wife for financial decisions. Tensions escalated further when Aarti's mother, who had produced several of his films, reportedly dismissed them as failures despite their commendable box office performance. Additionally, he claimed that the household staff received better treatment than he did.
