Hydrogen bomb of 'Vote Chori' expose coming: Rahul Gandhi to BJP

Patna: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday warned the BJP of a "hydrogen bomb" of an expose on " vote chori" (vote theft) as the Opposition alliance concluded its ' Voter Adhikar Yatra' in Patna with a call to the electorate to usher in a regime change following the upcoming assembly election in the state.

In a public address at Dak Bunglow Chowk during the well-mobilised Gandhi Maidan-to-Ambedkar Park concluding event of the yatra, Gandhi sent out the warning to the BJP while reiterating his charge that the nexus between the ruling party and the Election Commission of India (ECI) stole the Maharashtra assembly election.

The Congress leader also referred to the "atom bomb of an expose of fake voters" he had made recently about a Karnataka assembly constituency. "Have you heard of anything bigger than an atom bomb? It is a hydrogen bomb. BJP people, be ready, a hydrogen bomb is coming. People are very soon going to find out the reality of vote chori. I am guaranteeing you, after the hydrogen bomb, Narendra Modi ji will not be able to show his face to the country," Gandhi said to the cheering crowd. Gandhi said "vote chori" meant much more than an election for the people. "Vote chori means stealing of your rights, stealing of your reservation, your jobs, your democracy and the future of the youth. Come what may, we will not allow the vote chori to happen in Bihar," he said, adding that "the forces that killed Mahatma Gandhi are now trying to kill the Constitution of Ambedkar and Gandhi".

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav said in his address that the yatra woke up the people of Bihar against "vote chori". "The public has woken up and will oust these dishonest people from power. Those who killed democracy will be given a befitting reply."

Launching a direct attack on chief minister Nitish Kumar, the pivot of two-decade old JDU-BJP rule, Yadav said, "The CM of Bihar is now not in a conscious state of mind. The CM of Bihar has become Bhishma Pitamaha of corruption. Of this double-engine government, one engine is steeped in corruption and the other in crime," he said.

In an apparent reference to the central agencies' probe against him, the RJD leader warned the Centre, saying, "PM Modi can file a case against me; it doesn't scare me. Lalu Yadav was not afraid when cases were filed against him. Lord Krishna, our god, was born in jail. No case will frighten me, as I have Lalu Yadav's blood flowing in my veins. PM Modi is a factory, a manufacturer and a distributor of lies."

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge credited Rahul Gandhi for the yatra and urged the people to bust the "BJP's vote-chori plot" and vote out the incumbent state government.
