Bollywood actor Aamir Khan and comedian Samay Raina recently engaged in a friendly game of chess that quickly grabbed attention on social media. The match, shared by Samay on his Instagram, wasn't just about strategy—it turned into a humorous exchange that left fans entertained. As Aamir smoothly defeated the YouTuber, Samay took a playful jab at the actor’s much-discussed film, Laal Singh Chaddha, adding a touch of satire to the already amusing moment.

Aamir Dominates the Game

The video opens with Aamir Khan confidently settling into the match, requesting the crew to start recording. He cheekily announced his intent to win and warned that they would play for a full half-hour. As the match unfolded, Aamir pointed out Samay’s errors with light-hearted comments, even telling him, “You messed up, my friend.” Despite Samay’s efforts to hold his ground, Aamir maintained his lead and brushed off distractions with focused responses.

Toward the end of the game, as victory became imminent, Aamir reminded Samay that losing to him should be a matter of pride. Samay, unfazed, delivered a sharp one-liner in return, saying sometimes Laal Singh Chaddha moments happen—clearly referring to the film's commercial failure in a humorous context. The remark drew laughter from Aamir, showing the sporting spirit between the two.

Samay Raina's Career Amid Controversy

This interaction comes at a time when Samay Raina is gradually returning to public content creation. Earlier this year, his YouTube reality show India’s Got Latent came under fire due to an episode featuring offensive content. One particular moment involving podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia sparked backlash, resulting in FIRs and the eventual removal of all episodes from the internet. The controversy also led to the cancellation of Samay’s live shows in India.

Currently, Samay is focusing on his international comedy tour, performing in the UK, Europe, and other parts of the world. Known not just for his humor but also his influence in popularizing chess content online, Samay has been instrumental in merging entertainment with the sport. His earlier ventures, including the Chess Super League, have featured grandmasters and attracted significant audiences on YouTube.

For Aamir Khan, the chess face-off was a refreshing change amid the promotions of his latest film Sitaare Zameen Par, which released on June 20. The movie, featuring Aamir and Genelia Deshmukh, has been performing well at the box office and has crossed Rs 130 crore. Directed by R.S. Prasanna, the film marks a return to form for Aamir after the lukewarm reception of Laal Singh Chaddha.
