Saudi Arabia launches new visa platform to simplify Umrah travel for foreign pilgrims

Send Push
Saudi Arabia has introduced a new digital platform to simplify the Umrah journey for international pilgrims. The service, launched on 20 August 2025, allows users to apply for visas and book key travel services online, as part of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 plan to modernise religious tourism.

The services, available at umrah.nusuk.sa, offers a single online space where pilgrims can arrange accommodation, transportation, guided tours, and other services. It is launched as an additional option alongside accredited travel agents, giving pilgrims the choice of booking complete packages or selecting services individually, as per a report by The Siasat Daily.

Multilingual and globally accessible
According to the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, the new system has a multilingual interface in seven languages and is fully integrated with government networks to speed up visa issuance and service delivery. Multiple payment options have also been added to support users worldwide.

The initiative is aligned with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals of increasing the number of Muslim visitors, improving service quality, and using digital tools to streamline the pilgrimage process.

Officials said the platform aims to provide a seamless user experience by allowing pilgrims to complete the entire process, from visa application to travel bookings, online in one place.
