Starting October 26, passengers travelling from Delhi to London ( Heathrow) will have a fourth daily flight, increasing the weekly frequency from 24 to 28 flights. The additional service adds 1,196 seats each way per week, all operated on Air India’s newest widebody aircraft, the Airbus A350-900 and Boeing 787-9, offering Business, Premium Economy, and Economy cabins.
The airline continues to be the largest carrier between India and the UK, operating 61 weekly flights across five Indian cities, Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, and Amritsar; connecting to London (Heathrow), London (Gatwick), and Birmingham. In total, it deploys 18,066 seats per week in one direction, or nearly 1.7 million seats annually on India-UK routes.
On the Delhi-London route, two daily flights will be operated with the A350-900 and two with the 787-9, ensuring consistent availability of the airline’s premium offerings. Passenger experience is enhanced by high Net Promoter Scores (NPS), around 47 monthly overall, and 50–60 in Business and Premium Economy on the A350-900.
