Strictly Come Dancing's Anton Du Beke was left in shock when he received the news that his wife was expecting twins.

Speaking to Giovanna Fletcher on the Happy Mum, Happy Baby Podcast, Anton opened up about the IVF journey his wife, Hannah Summers, went through to welcome their children, George and Henrietta.

The dancer admitted he was "stunned" by her pregnancy, but didn't hold back in expressing his surprise to Hannah, even though he later "couldn't speak".

He recalled: "And the fella's there and he's...the doctor! And he's got the whatcha call it, where you stick it and you have a look around, the camera thing, the internal camera."

He continued: "And he goes, 'Ah; there's one heartbeat', and I go, 'Where? ' And he's fiddling around and then he goes, 'Ooh; there's another heartbeat', and I was stunned. And I went...I say, it's a rude word; I apologise and I went, 'F**k me, babe'."

Anton also revealed that he "couldn't speak" and eventually told her "well done". In a surprising twist, Hannah asked him if he wanted to go to the golf club, to which he responded: "Well, do you think I could?"

Back in 2023, Anton, who met Hannah at a golf club in 2011 and married her in 2017, spoke about their fertility struggles, revealing Hannah's battle with endometriosis.

On the Parenting Hell podcast, he described Hannah as "practically perfect" and touchingly said she was "everything I thought she would be".

He remarked: "I thought she'd be an excellent mum, always knew she'd be a great mum but she couldn't have children. I thought, 'Isn't it funny how nature works in mysterious ways?'"

Anton expressed the "sad irony" that his partner, who "would be an incredible mum", faced fertility struggles. Thankfully, their story took a positive turn with the success of IVF treatments.

The Strictly icon detailed the arduous journey, revealing Hannah had to go through "blood tests, injections every day".

He also shared his joy at the outcome of their IVF, saying: "But as we had IVF we were able to have them in the end and I'm thrilled for me - because I'd have 100 [kids] by the way, because I love them."

He concluded with high praise for Hannah: "But I'm thrilled for Hannah because she is amazing at it."
