The pair started off the contest securing modest scores in the early 20s, but have now risen to secure scores that are routinely in the late 30s.

The other soap stars that have won Strictly in the past are EastEnders actress Kara Tointon, who won in 2010, Emmerdale actor Tom Chambers, who won in 2008, and EastEnders icon Jill Halfpenny - who won in 2004.
