An anonymous NFL player has reportedly expressed his annoyance at the constant attention given to appearances at games, although many of his colleagues disagree with him.

The pop star has been a regular fixture at Arrowhead Stadium, The couple made their relationship public when Swift was spotted cheering on the tight end in September, and their romance has flourished since then.

Swift was there to witness her beau win his third Super Bowl in Las Vegas in February. She has also maintained her sideline presence this season, most notably during the Chiefs' game against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2.

Her relationship with Kelce has inadvertently introduced the sport to her legion of fans, sparking interest in the couple. However, not all stars are convinced that Swift's influence has been entirely positive.

As per an unnamed footballer commented on her frequent appearances: "It's bringing more attention to the game. But I feel like they've been using her face. If she's at a game, they probably show her like six, seven times. People get ... sick of it if they keep doing it over and over again. So I think they've got to find a balance.

"It's a positive and negative. The reason I say that is it's great the impact she's making on the younger female generation and getting them to learn about the sport. ... The negative is all the true football fans who are tired of seeing it."

Meanwhile, another critic chimed in: "I feel like she is getting unnecessary coverage. There was the whole NFL opening season video on and she was featured five times and our quarterback was featured none. That's not even right. She is not the NFL."

However, despite some grumbles, the majority view seems to be in Swift's favour, with a whopping 72.5 percent of those surveyed for the report viewing her involvement as a boon. Only a small fraction, 4.9 percent of the players questioned, viewed the pop star's presence negatively, while 22.5 percent remained neutral.

On the flip side, one of Swift's supporters expressed: "I think it's been positive for the league. I think that at the end of the day, it's a business and you need to get as many eyes on it as possible. And she brings a lot of eyes, so, you know, if that increases the salary cap, I don't think anybody's gonna be too mad about that one."
